This isn’t my first blog, but I have to say that I love blogging. It’s a fantastic way to connect with people, and even make some extra income, if that’s your goal.
But more than anything, a blog will surprise you, because even if only a handful of people read your blog, you’ll express your thoughts in writing, which in and of itself has been shown to be helpful. If you want proof, read this article on PsychCentral.
As for me, it’s helped me connect with people from all over the world.
I’ve built an audience by promoting my blog and helping other people, because that’s what this comes down to, isn’t it?
In the end, we don’t want money, fame, or success. We want to contribute to the world. We want to belong, and we want to have fun with the people we hold dear.
So whether you want to be a serious blogger, or just get your thoughts out there doesn’t matter.
You can start a free blog here on WordPress.com, or you can get a self-hosted setup with WordPress.org. I’ve provided a few links below where you can read more about starting a blog.
You can be anonymous, or you can share your personal story. If you’re going to start, I highly recommend you face your fears and just pour your heart out. Bleed on your blog and let people see who you truly are.
Why do I say this? Well, imagine that you were in the shoes of the reader. Wouldn’t you want to see what people truly thought? Wouldn’t you want to hear their stories?
I think you would, so why not focus on helping people. Fear usually happens when you think about yourself. You start worrying about what might happen to you. But when you shift that focus to how you can help other people with what you’ve gone through, everything changes.
Blogging can be magical especially when you can let go of any ideas and thoughts that hold you back.
So yes, I do believe everyone should start a blog, even if it’s only for a brief period of time. I think it should be implemented in schools. It would improve the writing of so many people, and it would help our children and kids develop mentally.
Writing does that to you.
There’s something about writing things down and exploring your mind in writing. It keeps you focused, compared to just going in loops inside your head.
So why am I starting a completely new blog? I don’t know. It’s a challenge. I want to start fresh. It feels good to me, so I’m doing it. I enjoy living life intuitively and seeing what happens. I trust my heart to know where I’m going, and I let my mind stay focused on the present moment.
What about you?
